At Penketh South Community Primary School and Nursery, we are committed to supporting children, young people and their families at the earliest possible stage. We recognise that, at times, families may benefit from additional advice, guidance or practical support, and our staff are here to help.
Early Help is about identifying concerns early and working together to prevent difficulties from escalating.
Support may be available in areas such as:
- Attendance and school engagement
- Emotional health and wellbeing
- Behaviour and family relationships
- SEND support
- Housing, finances and cost-of-living challenges
- Accessing local services and support networks
- Parenting advice and family support
Our staff can work alongside families to identify appropriate support and, where appropriate, make referrals to external agencies and community services.
Our Community Offer
Penketh South Primary is building strong links with families, community organisations and local businesses.
Our community activity includes:
- Regular visits to the neighbouring care home
- Participation in the local Remembrance service
- A summer social featuring local businesses
- Community use of the school’s spaces
- Development of a primary park run
- A school-based community team supporting further engagement activity
