Young carers at Penketh South Primary
Does your child provide care for someone at home who is unable to cope without their support- due to illness, disability, Mental health issues or addiction?
It could be helping with everyday tasks or providing emotional support.
The valuable work young carers do deserves recognition and support.
At Penketh South, we support Young Carers in school and work very closely with the Young Carers Team at Warrington Carers Hub.
We have a dedicated Young Carer Champion – Mrs S Bennett
Here is the referral process for our young carers
We also have fun activities and events for our young carers throughout the year – a chance to get together with other children who have caring roles. The activities range from film afternoons to trips out of school.
